As SMS Management & Technology (SMS) embarks on its 24th year of servicing Australian Corporations and Government organisations, 2009 sees us move into a year of unprecedented change…change brought about by the global financial crisis and uncertainty for what the future might hold.
But in the face of these challenges, SMS remains focused on what it does best; that is to deliver outstanding results for our clients across their business and technology programs and to ensure that the experience of our 1,200 strong workforce extends to influence the capability of their teams and the achievements of their visions.
In light of the current market dynamics, SMS continued to perform well in 2009, with our first half results for FY2009 delivering a positive outcome for our shareholders, employees and clients. Furthermore, our full year results for FY2009 demonstrated our resilience during these times.
Our practices have broadened over the years to encompass a complete range of business and technology services, enabling SMS to take on large systems integration projects.
On 5 October 2009 we announced another acquisition. Aipex Pty Limited extends our Systems Integration Practice and adds the Tibco and Calypso platforms to our existing SI technology suite.
Central to our success has been - and always will be - a focus on employing and retaining the best professionals that we can find in our chosen fields. SMS prides itself on maintaining an open and honest work environment, an environment where management is there to ensure that all SMSers have the opportunity to be heard and to achieve their personal career goals and the long-term success of SMS as a whole.
